2026 Town Tours and Village Walks Program Expands in Honor of Nation's 250th

The Chester County Commissioners are pleased to announce the return of the popular Town Tours and Village Walks program, which has been expanded this year in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States. Now entering its 32nd season, the 2026 Town Tours & Village Walks will kick off at the Chester County Historic Courthouse on Thursday, April 30, and conclude on October 15.

This year's theme, "13 Tours for 13 Colonies," will focus on the places, people, and events in Chester County that molded and defined the complex tapestry of history that shaped our nation. In addition to the 13 tours, there will be three "Armchair Lectures". All are open to the public and free to attend.

The 2026 program includes the following tours and lectures:

The tours and lectures will last about 50 minutes. Tours begin at 5:30 p.m., with the last one leaving at 7:00 p.m. Lectures begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A. Preregistration is not required.

The Town Tours & Village Walks program is made possible through a partnership between the Chester County Board of Commissioners, the Chester County Planning Commission, the Chester County History Center, the Chester County Historic Preservation Network, Chester County Tourism, and many dedicated volunteers.
